Contestants April 30, 2008 Jeff Rivard, Executive Director (contact) This note verifies entry in the USGA Open Local Qualifying Round at Chestnut Ridge Resort in Blairsville on Monday, May 12, 2008. We will be playing the Tom’s Run Course. 35 compete for two spots. Groupings and starting times are enclosed. INFORMATION The facility is located just south of the US-22 and US-119 intersection. Lodging—At the resort is a Hampton Inn—724-459-5920, and there is a Comfort Inn less than a mile from the course—724-459-7100 Caddies—the facility has none. CADDIES MUST WALK IN PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES DURING THE QUALIFYING ROUND. Footwear—METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED UNDER PENALTY OF DISQUALIFICATION Practice range balls are complimentary the day of the competition. Practice rounds—contact the main line at the Resort—724-459-7180, and ask for the golf shop. Call ahead to make arrangements. Food—the WPGA provides a light breakfast day of the competition. Players pay for their own lunches. The Official-in-Charge is John McMurdy, Indiana, PA, a member of the USGA Regional Affairs Committee.
