Contestants April 30, 2008 Jeff Rivard, Executive Director (contact) This memo verifies entry in the USGA Open Local Qualifying Round at Quicksilver GC in Midway, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, May 15. We have 53 players for 4 spots. Note the enclosed groupings and starting times sheet. Lodging—hotels of all price ranges are along I-279 and US22/30 West, which heads out to the course. Hotels listed near Pittsburgh International Airport are in the vicinity of Quicksilver. Footwear—METAL CLEATS ARE ALLOWED FOR THIS QUALIFIER. Practice rounds--contact the Quicksilver golf shop—724—796-1594. Caddies—ALL CADDIES ARE REQUIRED TO WALK IN PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTIES IN THE COMPETITION. Practice range balls are complimentary on the competition day. Food—Continental breakfast on a complimentary basis will be available on the competition day. Players pay for their own lunches. Directions: Take Route 60 to the Route 22/30 West exit (Weirton exit). Proceed on Route 22 approximately 7 miles and the McDonald/Midway exit. Turn right at the stop sign onto Route 980 South. Go 2.5 miles and make a right on to Quicksilver Road. There is a large sign directing you to the course entrance. Contact the USGA headquarters at 908-234-2300 or our office if you must withdraw.
