Competitions
among clubs are among the oldest and most traditions in the
Association’s history.

The 4th Hole at Longue Vue Club
The Jamison
Cup, named after Thomas Jamison (1912-1976), Oakmont, Hannastown,
has existed in various forms for decades. Jamison and his
father, T.S., President of WPGA in 1927, were key figures in
organizing inter-club competitions. A fine player, Tom Jamison
qualified for three USGA Opens and several USGA Amateurs. The
competition has been discontinued a time or two, but it has been
in operation consecutively since 1991. In this era, three clubs
have captured 11 of the 17 titles, St. Jude and Oakmont with
four each, and Pittsburgh Field Club with three. St. Jude has
won three since 2003 in the odd numbered years. Teams reach the
Jamison Cup by winning their leagues, and the fall event is
36-holes, five players count four scores per round.
