2015 West Penn Amateur Championship Qualifying


June 1, 2015 - Hill Crest Country Club, Lower Burrell



This notice serves as confirmation for West Penn Amateur Qualifying on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Hill Crest Country Club in Lower Burrell, PA.

The qualifying round is 18 holes and the field is 41 players. Please note starting times and groupings.

Grouping - Alpha
Groupings - Tee & Time

The starting tee will be hole #1. Additional information, including the number of spots to move on to the championship at St. Clair Country Club on June 8-9, 2015 will be distributed on the starting tee.

Format - 18 Holes of Stroke Play

Tee Markers - All play is from the BLUE tee markers

Pace of Play - The maximum allowable time will be four hours and fifteen minutes (4:15). The Pace of Play Policy can be found here.

Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf.

In the event of a tie for spots or alternates, a hole by hole sudden death playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.

Practice - Please contact the Golf Shop at 724-337-6361 for information regarding a practice round. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player. The Golf Professional is Dave Thomas. Hill Crest does not have a driving range, player wishing to practice prior to the qualifying round will need to make other arrangements.

Transportation/Caddies - Players are required to walk for the qualifier and the championship proper. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties. Pull trolleys are permitted for the qualifying round.

Evacuation Plan - In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, players should return immediately to the Clubhouse.

Footwear - METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.

Food - The WPGA provides a light continental breakfast for players. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

Lodging - Lodging can be found in the Harmarville area off the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
