West Penn Boys Championship - July 17, 2014
Montour Heights Country Club, Coraopolis, PA

This notice serves as confirmation for West Penn Boys Championship on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Montour Heights Country Club in Coraopolis, PA.

Please note the attached starting times and pairings. Starting tee will be hole #1. Additional information will be distributed on the starting tee.

Note to Parents & Guardians - A parent, stepparent, or guardian may not serve as a caddie. Spectator carts are not permitted for use during the championship. Lunch is provided for the players and caddies only. Parents and/or spectators who wish to eat lunch with players should inform a staff member of Montour Heights Country Club and be prepared to pay for charges via cash, check or chit charge to home club.

Format - 18 Holes of Stroke Play (14 & 15 - Playing for James "Skip" Potts Trophy, 13 & Under - Playing for the James Simons Trophy).

Tee Markers
14 & 15 Age Division ñ BLACK/YELLOW tee markers (Approximate Yardage 6300)
13 & Under Age Division - TAN tee markers (Approximate Yardage 5500)

If a 13 & Under division player would like to compete in the Age 14 & 15 division, please notify the Association in advance. Players must choose a division and may not compete for both trophies. The teeing ground selected by the player will determine which championship the player is competing for.

Pace of Play - The maximum allowable time will be four hours and fifteen minutes (4:15).

Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.

Practice - Please contact the Golf Shop at 412-264-5950 for information regarding a practice round. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player. The Golf Professional is Tony Romansky. Practice range balls are complimentary the morning of the competition.

Transportation/Caddies - Players and caddies are required to walk for the championship. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties. A parent, stepparent, or guardian may not serve as a caddie.


Food - The WPGA provides a lunch for players and caddies. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

Lodging - Lodging can be found in the Robinson Township area.
