This notice serves as confirmation for the C.R. Miller Memorial Match Play Championship on Tuesday, July 28, 2014 and Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Sewickley Heights Golf Club in Sewickley, PA.
The field is 16 contestants. Day 1 will consist of 8 matches in the morning with the winners of those matches playing 4 matches in the afternoon. Day 2 will consist of the semi-final matches in the morning and the final match in the afternoon.
Practice - Practice rounds are available by contacting the golf shop at 412.741.7620. The Director of Golf is David Malatak. Days and times for practice rounds are as follows: July 23, 25, 26 after 4:00 PM. Other times may be available at the discretion of the golf shop. The fee for a practice round is $30. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player and must be pre-arranged.
Note to Parents & Guardians - A parent, stepparent, or guardian may not serve as a caddie. Spectator carts are not permitted for use during the championship. Breakfast & lunch is provided and paid for the players and their caddies only.
Spectators should be prepared to pay for potential food & beverage charges by spectators via reciprocal club charge to their respective home club, cash or credit.
Transportation/Caddies - Players and caddies are required to walk for the championship. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties. A parent, stepparent, or guardian may not serve as a caddie. Golf bag push carts are not permitted at Sewickley Heights.
Footwear - METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.
Food - The WPGA provides whole fruits, juices & coffee in the morning and lunch for players and caddies only. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player. Lunch will be available by reciprocating charge, cash or credit card for those accompanying the players and caddies.
