Notice to Players
2016 West Penn Four-Ball & Senior Four-Ball Championships

September 28, 2016 - Chartiers Country Club, Pittsburgh

This notice serves as confirmation for West Penn Four-Ball & Senior Four-Ball Championships on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Chartiers Country Club in Pittsburgh, PA. The championship division field is twenty-six teams. The Senior championship field is twenty teams.

Groupings - Alpha
Groupings - Tee & Time

Format - 36 Holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. The ball scored must be individually identifiable by the player who scored his ball for each hole when signing and returning your scorecard. Any further instructions will be issued on the starting tee. In the event of a tie, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.

Tee Markers - Play for the Championship division is from the WPGA Blue tee markers. The course will play approximately 6,500 yards, based on conditions. Play for the Senior Championship division is from the WPGA White tee markers. The course will play approximately 6,200 yards, based on conditions.

Practice - Practice rounds are available by contacting the golf shop at 412-921-5360. All practice round times and availability are at the discretion of the golf shop. The Golf Professional is Joe Klinchock. Practice rounds will be at a cost of $70 including carts and applicable fees, are at the expense of the player and should be scheduled in advance. Practice range balls are complimentary the day of the competition.

Transportation/Caddies - Players are permitted to use a cart for competition and the cart fee is included in the entry fee. Chartiers does not offer caddies. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose to walk. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties.

Pace of Play - Maximum Allowable Time for the stipulated round is four hours and twenty minutes (4:20).

Lodging - Lodging of various prices can be found in the Robinson Township area.

Withdrawals - If a team needs to withdrawal please email Matt Rusinko or contact the Association as soon as possible in order to make proper grouping adjustments.

Evacuation Plan - Air Horn: One long sound – Suspend play immediately, dangerous situation
Two short sounds – You may continue play through the hole being played
In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, all players should return to the clubhouse.


Food - The WPGA provides coffee and juices for the players prior to the 1st round. Lunch will be provided for the players between rounds. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.
