This note verifies entry in the 2016 Jamison Cup Inter-Club Finals at Olde Stonewall Golf Club in Ellwood City, PA on Tuesday, August 30.
The field is 15 teams. The winning team receives a plaque for their club and individual awards. The medalist receives a trophy and an exemption to the 2017 West Penn Amateur at Sunnehanna Country Club.
Format - The competition is 36 holes of stroke play, top three scores of four count per team. In the case of a tie, the lower fourth score will break the tie. Teams may substitute players between rounds. The starting tees will be holes #1 & #10. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf.
Tee Markers - All play is from the WPGA BLUE tee markers, which will play approximately 6,700 yards based on conditions and yardages will vary from round to round.
Pace of Play - The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:20). WPGA Pace of Play Policy
Practice Rounds - Practice rounds are available by contacting the golf shop at 724-752-4653. The Golf Professional is Sean Swidzinski. Arrangements should be made in advance, are based on availability and are at a rate of $50. The practice range will open at 7:30 AM the morning of the competition. All practice round fees are the responsibility of the player.
Lodging - Lodging of various prices can be found in the Cranberry Township area.
Transportation - Players are permitted to use carts for the competition for one or both rounds. The cart fee is included. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose. Two carts per group will be permitted.
Footwear - METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.
Food & Beverage - Coffee, juices and fruits will be available prior to round one. A lunch will be provided between rounds and hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be available at the end of the competition. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.
Billing/Payment - After the close of competition, all clubs will be billed by the WPGA equally to pay for the day. It is the club’s responsibility to bill members of their team accordingly. Team withdrawals after the close of entries will be subject to a $100.00 fee.
Spectator Info - No spectator carts will be permitted for the competition. Spectators and caddies may purchase lunch at their own expense.
