Notice to Players
PNC West Penn Open Championship - July 7 & 8, 2014

This notice serves as confirmation for PNC West Penn Open Championship on Monday & Tuesday, July 7 & 8, 2014 at Indiana Country Club in Indiana, PA.

The competition is 54 holes and the field will be 78 players. The starting tees will be holes 1 & 11. The stroke play cut will be the top thirty-two (32) scores and ties after thirty-six (36) holes. Additional information will be distributed on the starting tees.

Transportation/Caddies - Please review the following information and regulations regarding carts and caddies for the championship:
Indiana has no caddies. Players are welcome to carry their own bag during the championship. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose to walk during rounds one and two. Walking is required during round three for contestants. Walking is required during all three rounds for caddies.


The use of automotive transportation is permitted during the first two rounds of the championship. Walking is required in the third and final round. Please note the following applicable regulations for the first two rounds regarding the use golf carts by players and caddies.
? AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION IS PERMISSIBLE FOR PLAYERS ONLY DURING THE CHAMPIONSHIP PROPER. The Association reserves the right to suspend such automotive transportation due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
CADDIES MUST WALK AT ALL TIMES DURING ANY STIPULATED ROUND DURING THE CHAMPIONSHIP PROPER. Penalty - two strokes for each hole at which a breach occurred with a maximum penalty four strokes per round. Use of any unauthorized form of transportation must be discontinued immediately upon discovery that a breach occurred. Otherwise, the player is disqualified.

Pace of Play - The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:20)

Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie, a hole by hole sudden death playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.

Practice - Practice rounds are available by contacting the golf shop at 724-465-5322.

Practice rounds will be at a cost of $50 with or without a cart and are the responsibility of the player. The Golf Professional is Daniel Braun. Practice range balls are complimentary the morning of the competition.

Evacuation Plan - In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, players on holes #1,2,3,4,5,9,10 & 18 should return immediately to the Clubhouse. Players on holes #11,12,13,14,15,16 & 17 should go to the Maintenance Building.


Lodging - Lodging can be found in the Indiana area.

Food - The WPGA provides a light continental breakfast for the players on Monday & Tuesday and Lunch for players and their caddies on Monday only. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

The entry fee includes cart for rounds one and two, practice range fee, locker fee, continental breakfast each day, lunch on Monday, trophies to the winner, runner-up and low amateur and merchandise prizes to amateurs making the cut and a purse exceeding $30,000 for professionals making the cut at the Championship.
