Notice to Players - 2015 WPGA Public Links Championship

April 28, 2015 - Cranberry Highlands Golf Course, Cranberry Township

This notice serves as confirmation for West Penn Amateur Public Links and Senior Amateur Public Links Championships on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Cranberry Highlands Golf Course, PA.

The competition is 36 holes of stroke play. Please note the attached starting times and pairings. Starting tee will be hole #1. Starting times can also be found at prior to the competition. Additional information will be distributed on the starting tees.

Format - 36 Holes of Stroke Play. In the event of a tie, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.

Tee Markers - All play is from the BLUE WPGA tee markers (Approximately 6,500 Yards) for the Amateur Public Links and from the WHITE WPGA tee markers (Approximately 6,200 Yards) for the Senior Amateur Public Links.

Pace of Play - The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:20)

Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf.

Practice - Please contact the Golf Shop at 724-776-7372 for information regarding a practice round. The Director of Golf Operations is Daryl Shipos. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player and are as follows: (Mon-Thurs - $36 w/cart; $24 w/o cart) (Fri-Sun - $46 w/cart; $34 w/o cart). Range balls are complimentary the morning of the competition.

Transportation/Caddies - Golf carts are permitted and are included in the entry fee. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose to walk.

Evacuation Plan - In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation all players should return immediately to the Clubhouse.

Footwear - Metal cleats are prohibited. The penalty is disqualification.

Food - The WPGA provides a coffee and juices prior to the round and a lunch for the players. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

Lodging - Lodging can be found in the Cranberry area in various price ranges.

The entry fee includes cart, practice fee, coffee & juices, lunch, trophies to the winner and runner-up and merchandise prizes to the top five (5) scores and ties for the Menís Championship and the top three (3) scores and ties for the Senior Championship. The winner of the Menís Championship receives an exemption to the 2015 West Penn Amateur & West Penn Open Championships.
