Notice to Players
West Penn Senior Amateur Championship



This notice serves as confirmation for West Penn Senior Amateur Championship on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Hannastown Golf Club in Greensburg, PA.

The competition is 36 holes and the field is 52 players. Please note the attached starting times and pairings. Starting tees will be holes #1 & #10. Additional information will be distributed on the starting tees.

Format - 36 Holes of Stroke Play

Tee Markers:

Championship Division will play from the GOLD tee markers

Super-Senior Division will play from the BLUE tee markers (age 65 & over)

Players age 65 & over may elect to play in either flight of the championship. The teeing ground selected by the player will determine the flight in which the player chooses to compete.

Pace of Play - The maximum allowable time will be four hours and fifteen minutes (4:15)

Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.

Practice - Please contact the Golf Shop at 724-836-8643 for information regarding a practice round. The Golf Professional is Craig Mankins. The chipping area at Hannastown will not be available the morning of the Championship. Players wishing to practice the morning of the competition may use the practice range at Totteridge Golf Club which is about two miles from Hannastown. There will be no charge to players for this service. As a courtesy please contact Totteridge GC ahead of time if you plan to practice their in the morning. The golf shop number at Totteridge is 724-837-6700.

Transportation/Caddies - Golf carts are permitted and are included in the entry fee. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose to walk.

Evacuation Plan - In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation all players should return immediately to the Clubhouse.

Footwear - METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.

Food - The WPGA provides a light continental breakfast and lunch for the players. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

Lodging - Lodging can be found in the Greensburg area in various price ranges.

The entry fee includes cart, practice fee, continental breakfast, lunch, trophies to the winner and merchandise prizes to the top seven (7) scores and ties for the Championship flight and the top two (2) scores and ties for the Super-Senior flight.
