Notice to Players
Senior Amateur Championship - May 19, 2014
The Club at Nevillewood, Nevillewood, PA



This notice serves as confirmation for West Penn Senior Amateur Championship on Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Club at Nevillewood in Presto, PA.

The competition is 36 holes and the field is 70 players. 53 Players will compete in the Senior Championship Division and 17 Players will compete in the Super Senior Division. Starting tees will be holes #1 & #10. Additional information will be distributed on the starting tees.

Format - 36 Holes of Stroke Play

Tee Markers Championship play is from the BLUE tee markers

Super-Senior play is from the WHITE tee markers (age 65 & over)

Players have selected their intended division during registration but the teeing ground selected by the player will determine the flight in which the player ultimately chooses to compete.

Pace of Play - The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:20). Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.

Practice - Please contact the Golf Shop at 412-276-1000 for information regarding a practice round. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player. The Golf Professional is Jim Antkiewicz.

Transportation/Caddies - Golf carts are permitted and are included in the entry fee. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose to walk.

Evacuation Plan - In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation all players should return immediately to the Clubhouse.

Footwear - METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.

Food - The WPGA provides coffee and juices as well as lunch for the players. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

Lodging - Lodging can be found in the Bridgeville, Robinson or Southpointe areas in various price ranges.

The entry fee includes cart, practice fee, coffee and juice, lunch, trophies to the winner and merchandise prizes to the top eight (8) scores and ties for the Championship flight and the top three (3) scores and ties for the Super-Senior flight.
