2017 West Penn Senior Four-Ball Championship

Monday, August 21, 2017 - Toftrees Resort, State College

This notice serves as confirmation for the Western Pennsylvania Senior Four-Ball Championships on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Toftrees Resort in State College, PA. The starting field is twelve teams and all teams will compete from the same set of teeing grounds and be competing for the Senior Four-Ball Championship with the low super-senior team being awarded a trophy as super-senior champion.

Groupings - Tee & Time

Format: 36 Holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. The ball scored must be individually identifiable by the player who scored his ball for each hole when signing and returning your scorecard. Any further instructions will be issued on the starting tee. In the event of a tie, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.

Tee Markers: Play is from the WPGA tee markers. The course will play approximately 6,350 yards, based on conditions.

Practice: Practice rounds are available by contacting the golf shop at 814-234-8000. All practice round times and availability are at the discretion of the golf shop. The Golf Professional is Cody Ceccato. Practice rounds will be at a cost of $45 including carts Sunday through Thursday and $55 on Friday and Saturday, are at the expense of the player and should be scheduled in advance. Practice range balls are included in the entry fee the day of the competition.

Transportation/Caddies: Players are permitted to use a cart for competition and the cart fee is included in the entry fee. Toftrees does not offer caddies. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose to walk.

Pace of Play: Maximum Allowable Time for the stipulated round is four hours and ten minutes (4:10).

Lodging: Lodging is available on site at a rate of $89 per night Sunday through Tuesday. Reservations should be made by contacting the reservation line at 814-234-8000.

Withdrawals: If a team needs to withdrawal please email Matt Rusinko or contact the Association as soon as possible in order to make proper grouping adjustments.

Evacuation Plan: In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, all players should return to the clubhouse immediately.


Food: The WPGA provides coffee, juices and pastries for the players prior to round one. Lunch will be provided for the players between rounds. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.
