Notice to Competitors - 2017 West Penn Senior Series #2


June 6, 2017 - Greensburg Country Club



The competition is 18 holes and the field is 28 players and there will be a Senior Division (ages 55-64) and a Super-Senior Division (ages 65 & above). Additional information will be distributed on the starting tees. The entry fee includes cart fee, practice range fee, locker fee, lunch, trophies to the winners in each division and merchandise prizes.

NOTE: Players age 65 and above will be defaulted into the Super-Senior Division unless they have otherwise contacted the WPGA to be placed in the Senior Division.

Groupings - Tee & Time

Format: 18 holes of stroke play. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie for first place, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.

Tee Markers: Play for the Senior Division is from the BLUE WPGA tee markers (Approximately 6,350 Yards). Play for Super-Senior Division is from the WHITE WPGA tee markers (Approximately 6,100 Yards). Yardages will be contingent on course conditions.

Practice: Practice round times can be scheduled by contacting the golf shop at 724-837-3230. Practice rounds are available on weekdays based on availability at a rate of $30. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player, must be pre-arranged, and are at the discretion of the club. The Golf Professional is Chuck Qualey.

Transportation/Caddies: Automotive transportation is required for the competition. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose. Two carts per group will be permitted for threesomes and one cart per twosome. Cart fees are included in the entry fee.

Food: The WPGA provides water on course and lunch for players only. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

Footwear: METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.

Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Greensburg area.

Pace of Play—The maximum allowable time will be four hours and fifteen minutes (4:15). The Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.

Evacuation Plan: In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, players should return to the clubhouse immediately. Note: A suspension for a dangerous situation will be signaled by one prolonged air horn note. All other types of suspension will be signaled by three consecutive air horn notes, repeated. Resumption of play will be signaled by two short air horn notes, repeated.

Spectator Info: No spectator carts will be permitted for the competition without pre-approved ADA verification. Please contact the WPGA office for ADA guidelines. ADA carts are based on availability. Spectators may purchase lunches via cash or credit card.
