Notice to Competitors - 2017 West Penn Senior Series #4

September 25, 2017 - Hannastown Golf Club, Greensburg, PA

The competition is 18 holes of stroke play with a field of 33 players, 22 contestants in the Senior Division and 11 contestants in the Super-Senior Division. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie for first place, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.

Hannastown does not have a full swing practice facility. Contestants should plan accordingly. Hannastown does offer a pitching/chipping area and a practice green for warm up. Practice ranges near Hannastown include Totteridge Golf Club and Mt. Odin Golf Course. Shag balls to warm up on the area of practice at Hannastown will be available for short shots.

Practice: Practice rounds can be scheduled by contacting the golf shop at 724-836-8643. The PGA Golf Professional is Craig Mankins. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player, must be prearranged, and all times and dates are at the discretion of the club. Practice rounds will be at a cost of $42.

Tee Markers: Play for the Senior Division is from the BLUE WPGA tee markers (Approximately 6,250 Yards). Play for Super-Senior Division is from the WHITE WPGA tee markers (Approximately 6,000 Yards). Yardages will be contingent on course conditions.

Transportation/Caddies: Automotive transportation is permitted for the competition and included in the entry fee. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose. Two carts per group will be permitted for threesomes and one cart per twosome. Hannastown does not offer caddies.

Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Greensburg area.

Food: The WPGA provides water on course, coffee & juices prior to the competition and lunch will be provided after the competition. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.


Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be four hours and fifteen minutes (4:15). The Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.

Spectator Info: No spectator carts will be permitted for the competition without pre-approved ADA verification. Please contact the WPGA office for ADA guidelines. ADA carts are based on availability. Spectators may purchase lunches at their own expense.
