Notice to Players - 2015 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Sectional Qualifying


September 29, 2015 - Mystic Rock, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, Farmington



This notice serves as confirmation for U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Sectional Qualifying on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Nemacolin Woodlands Mystic Rock Course in Farmington, PA.

The qualifier is 18 holes and the field is 49 teams. The starting tee will be holes #1 and #10.

Spots & Playoff - The field is playing for two (2) spots in the Championship and two (2) alternates. In the event of a tie, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee for qualifying spots as well as alternates.

Format - 18 Holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play
The ball scored must be individually identifiable by the player who scored his ball for each hole when signing and returning your scorecard. Any further instructions will be issued on the starting tee.

Tee Markers - All play is from the WPGA Blue tee markers. For practice round purposes the course will play approximately 7,200 yards or a combination of the Blue & Black Nemacolin tees.

Pace of Play - Maximum Allowable Time is four hours and thirty minutes (4:30)

Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf.

Practice - Practice rounds are available by contacting the resort at 724-329-8555. Practice rounds will be at a cost of $84, are at the expense of the player and should be scheduled in advance. There will be limited availability for a practice round on Monday, September 28. The Director of Golf Operations is Zach Clabaugh. Practice range balls are complimentary the day of the competition.

Lodging - The resort has offered an on-site lodging rate for competitors for the nights of September 27 & 28. Rooms are limited and arrangements must be made in advance. Please reference: Western Pennsylvania Golf Association when making arrangements by calling the resort at 724-329-8555. Rates are as follows per night: Two Bedroom Townhouse - $159; The Lodge - $159; The Chateau - $199.

Transportation/Caddies - Players are required to walk for the qualifying round. Nemacolin does offer caddies. The number of caddies is limited and they must be pre-arranged a minimum of 48 hours in advance, by contacting Zach Clabaugh at 724-329-6472. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties.

Rules reminders for USGA Qualifying Round:
1. The "One-Ball Rule" is in effect.
2. Grooves conforming to USGA competition standards are required.

Withdrawals - If a team needs to withdrawal please email Matt Rusinko or contact the Association as soon as possible in order to make proper grouping adjustments.

Evacuation Plan
Air Horn: One long sound - Suspend play immediately, dangerous situation
Two short sounds - You may continue play through the hole being played
In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, players on holes #1,2,3,4, 5 & 18 should return immediately to the Clubhouse. Players on holes #6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13 & 14 should go to the Half Way House. Players on holes #15,16 & 17 should proceed to the Bathroom to the right of Hole #17.

Footwear - METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.

Food - The WPGA provides coffee, juices and whole fruits for the players. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.
