Notice to Players - 2015 U.S. Amateur Sectional Qualifying


July 8, 2015 - Quicksilver Golf Club, Midway, PA



This notice serves as confirmation for U.S. Amateur Sectional Qualifying on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Quicksilver Golf Club in Midway, PA.

The qualifier is 36 holes and the field is 60 players. The starting tee will be holes #1 and #10.

The field will be playing for two (2) spots in the Championship and additional information will be distributed on the starting tee.

Format - 36 Holes of Stroke Play

Tee Markers - All play is from the BLUE tee markers.

The "One Ball Rule" is in effect for the qualifying rounds. Grooves conforming to USGA competition standards are required. Distance Measuring Devices conforming to USGA standards are permitted.

Pace of Play - The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:20).

Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee for qualifying spots as well as alternates.

Practice - Please contact the Golf Shop at 724-796-1594 for information regarding a practice round. The General Manager is Carl Pia. Practice rounds should be made in advance and fees are the responsibility of the player. Practice rounds are available at a cost of $45. Practice range balls are complimentary the day of the competition.

Transportation/Caddies - Walking is required. The club does not offer caddies. Players may bring their own caddies. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties during the qualifying rounds. Push trolleys are permitted for use in the competition.

Footwear - METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.

Food - The WPGA provides a light continental breakfast for the players. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player. A buffet lunch will be available at the playerís expense.

Lodging - Accommodations of various price ranges can be found in the Robinson Township and Southpointe areas.
