Notice to Players - 2015 U.S. Senior Open Sectional Qualifying

May 20, 2015 - Wildwood Golf Club, Allison Park, PA

This notice serves as confirmation for U.S. Senior Open Sectional Qualifying Round on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Wildwood Golf Club in Allison Park, PA.

The qualifier is 18 holes and the field is 27 players.

The starting tee will be hole #1. The field will be playing for one (1) spot and two alternates. Additional information will be distributed on the starting tee.

Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie, a hole by hole sudden death playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee for qualifying spots as well as alternates.

Format - 18 Holes of Stroke Play

Tee Markers - All play is from the BLUE WPGA tee markers. The course will play approximately 6,600 depending on conditions.

Distance Measuring Devices are not permitted for the qualifying round.

The "One Ball Rule" is in effect for the qualifying round.

Grooves conforming to USGA policy are required for the qualifying round.

Pace of Play - The maximum allowable time will be three hours and fifty minutes (3:50). The Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.

Practice - Practice rounds are available by contacting the golf shop at Wildwood at 412.486.4300. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player and must be pre-arranged. The PGA Head Golf Professional is Bernie Hough.

Transportation/Caddies - Walking is required. The club offers caddies but has limited availability. Caddies will not be available the day of the competition unless pre-arranged with the golf shop. Players may bring their own caddies. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties during the qualifying round. Players will not be permitted to use push trolleys for the qualifying round.

Evacuation Plan - In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, players on holes 1,2,3,4,7 & hole 18 should return immediately to the Clubhouse. Players on holes 5,6 & 10 should go to the half-way house. Players on hole 11 should proceed to the shelter found on hole 11. Players on holes 12,13,15 & 16 on should proceed to the shelter near hole 15 green. Players on holes 14 & 17 should proceed to the shelter near 14 tee.


Food - The WPGA provides a light continental breakfast for the players. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

Lodging - Lodging can be found in the Ross Township area in various price ranges.
