Notice to Players - 2016 U.S. Women's Senior Amatuer Sectional Qualifying

Wednesday, August 17, 2016 - Lone Pine Country Club, Washington, PA

This notice serves as confirmation for U.S. Women’s Senior Amateur Sectional Qualifying on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Lone Pine Country Club in Washington, PA. The qualifying round is 18 holes and the field is 13 players. The number of spots the field is playing for is three (3) and two (2) alternates. The starting tee will be hole #1.

Format - 18 holes of stroke play. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee for qualifying spots as well as alternates.

Distance Measuring Devices are permitted for the qualifying round.
The “One Ball Rule” is in effect for the qualifying round.
Grooves conforming to USGA policy are required for the qualifying round.
Carts are permitted for the qualifying round.

Tee Markers - The course will play at roughly 6,400 yards depending on conditions

Pace of Play - The maximum allowable time for the stipulated round will be three hours and forty-five minutes (3:45) for twosomes and four hours and fifteen minutes (4:15) for threesomes.The WPGA Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.

Practice - Please contact the Golf Shop at 724-222-4844 for information regarding a practice round. Practice rounds will be at a cost of $40 and are the responsibility of the player. The Golf Professional is J.R. Pond. All practice rounds are at the discretion of the golf shop. Practice range balls are complimentary the morning of the competition.

Transportation/Caddies - Carts are permitted for the qualifying round and are at the expense of the player the day of the competition. Players may bring their own caddies. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties during the qualifying round. Push trolleys are permitted for the round.

Food - The WPGA provides a light continental breakfast prior to the round and water on the course. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.


Lodging - Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Washington area.

Spectator Info - No spectator carts will be permitted for the qualifying round.
