Notice to Players
U.S. Amateur Sectional Qualifying, Spring Church

This notice serves as confirmation for U.S. Amateur Sectional Qualifying on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Links at Spring Church in Apollo, PA.

The qualifier is 36 holes and the field is 53 players. Please note the attached starting times and pairings. The starting tee will be holes #1 and #10. The field will be playing for two (2) spots in the Championship and additional information will be distributed on the starting tee.

Format - 36 Holes of Stroke Play

Tee Markers - All play is from the BLUE tee markers

Distance Measuring Devices are not permitted for the qualifying rounds.

The “One Ball Rule” is in effect for the qualifying rounds.

Pace of Play - The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:20)

Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee for qualifying spots as well as alternates.

Practice - Please contact the Golf Shop at 724-478-5478 for information regarding a practice round. The Clubhouse Manager is Stacy Pasternak. Practice rounds should be made in advance.

Practice range balls are complimentary the day of the competition.

Transportation/Caddies - Walking is required. The club does not offer caddies. Players may bring their own caddies. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties during the qualifying rounds.

Evacuation Plan - In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, players on holes 2(green), 3,4,5,6,7(tee),11,12,13(tee),14(fairway/green),15(tee) & 17 should go to the shelter near hole #6 green. All other players should return immediately to the Clubhouse.


Food - The WPGA provides a light continental breakfast for the players. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player. A buffet lunch will be available at the player’s expense.

Lodging - Accommodations of various price ranges can be found in the New Kensington & Murrysville areas.
