This notice serves as confirmation for U.S. Junior Amateur Sectional Qualifying on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Seven Oaks Country Club in Beaver, PA.
The qualifier is 36 holes and the field is 18 players. Please note the attached starting times and pairings. The starting tee will be hole #1. The field is playing for one (1) spot in the championship and two alternates. Additional information will be distributed on the starting tee.
Format - 36 Holes of Stroke Play
Pace of Play - The maximum allowable time will be three hours and forty-five minutes (3:45)
Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie, a hole by hole sudden death playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee for the qualifying spot as well as alternates.
Golf balls - The “One-Ball” Rule, per stipulated round, is in effect.
Distance measuring devices of any type are not permitted.
Practice - Practice rounds are available by contacting the golf shop at 724-495-3300. The golf professional is Herb Wright. Practice rounds should be made in advance and fees are the responsibility of the player. Practice range balls are complimentary the day of the competition.
Caddies - Walking is required. Seven Oaks has no caddies. Players may bring their own caddies provided they meet the USGA’s requirements (A parent, stepparent, or guardian may not serve as a caddie). CADDIES MUST WALK IN PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTIES.
Evacuation Plan - In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation:
Players on holes #1,2,8,9,10,11,12(tee/fairway) & 18 should return immediately to the Clubhouse.
Players on holes #3 & 4 should go to the shelter between hole 3 & 4.
Players on hole #5 should proceed to bathroom area on hole #5.
Players on holes #6 & 7 should proceed to the shelter on hole #7.
Players on holes #12(green), 13,14,15 & 16 should proceed to the bathroom on hole #14.
Players on hole #17 should proceed to the shelter on hole #17.
Footwear - METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.
Food - The WPGA provides a light continental breakfast for the players. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.
Lodging - Lodging of various types can be found in the Beaver/Monaca area.
