Beginning in 2002, clubs using the USGA Handicap
System™ were allowed the option to adopt a
policy accepting scores posted over the
Internet. The WPGA's handicap computation
vendor, the GHIN® Service, provides an easy
interface to accept scores posted via the
Internet, as well as a Handicap Index® lookup
tool. Nearly 60% of WPGA Member Clubs have
adopted this procedure.

It is important
to note that the club Handicap Committee must
have authorized its members to post scores via
the Internet, and inform the WPGA so the
function can be enabled. To post scores, the
golfer needs his/her GHIN Number and either last
name or club number. All scores posted over the
Internet will be designated with an "I"
(Internet Score), "AI" (Away Score posted over
the Internet), or "TI" (Tournament Score posted
over the Internet).
If you would like
additional information regarding Internet Score
Posting, or to determine if a club has adopted
this procedure, please
contact the WPGA.
