These
days allow members
and friends to
participate in WPGA
organized
non-competitive golf
days. We wish to
introduce the
Association to more
golfers, who may not
play in WPGA
championships. These
days are a chance
for golfers of
various skills to
have a good time
with friends at a
WPGA Member Club
that they may not
normally get a
chance to play.
Events are open to
all golfers, both
men and women,
regardless of skill
level, who want to
play golf for fun at
a reasonable
rate. No Handicap
Index is required.
Players may enter
with an entry form
or online. Please
note - if you wish
to apply online you
will need an
account. If you have
registered for any
of the Association's
championships in the
past two years you
will use your
existing username
and password, and
can enroll by
clicking here.

New Castle Country
Club
Close to PA Route
60, New Castle also
claims a famous
architect, A. W.
Tillinghast, who has
Baltusrol, Winged
Foot, and local
courses such as
Sunnehanna to his
credit. The #11
green is one of the
most well known in
the area, as is the
par-five 5th
hole. The course is
the annual site of
the Tri-State Open,
and has hosted
numerous WPGA
competitions,
including USGA
qualifying rounds. The tudor clubhouse
is a classic.
Green Oaks Country
Club
In Verona, this
club’s long history
may have the hand of
Donald Ross in its
design. The ninth,
a par-four of 440
yards, is one of the
best par fours in
the area. The
finish is
unique—three long
par-threes in
a four hole stretch,
14-17. The course
has hosted numerous WPGA competitions
and gatherings over
the years.
