Mystic Rock to Host 2007 West Penn Open October 26, 2004 Jeff Rivard, Executive Director (contact) The West Penn Open, whose winners include four US Open Champions--Sam Park, Lew Worsham, Ed Furgol, and Arnold Palmer--will be played at the Mystic Rock Course at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in 2007. The competition is scheduled for July 5-6. "With the 2005 Open at Oakmont, a multiple US Open site, and 2007 at Mystic Rock, a PGA Tour site, few organizations can match venues with us for local Open championships," said Don Erickson, III, Chairman of the WPGA Championship Committee. The 2005 Open purse will add $18,000, making it among the top five in the area.
