Roy Vucinich of Moon Township captured his fifth West Penn Open Championship over a period spanning four decades. He shot rounds of 69-69 for a two under total of 138. His previous victories came in 1977-78, 1985, and 1993. The victory ties the record for the most championships held by Jock Hutchison (1909-10, 1913-15) and Perry DelVecchio (1927-28, 1932, 1934-35).

Smith earned low amateur honors.

Vucinich, a regular on the Senior PGA Tour, was a long-time professional at Allegheny Country Club in Sewickley.
