WPGA Public Links Information July 13, 2006 Jeff Rivard, Executive Director (contact) Note the following information for the WPGA Public Links at Down River Golf Course in Everett, PA on Thursday July 20. Note the tee times and groupings. The competition is 36 holes, and second round times will be issued upon completion of the first round. The starting field is 23 players. Practice rounds - contact the golf shop - 814-652-5193. Lodging: Carts are permitted but not required and are included in the entry fee. The Karl Kaufmann Trophy is named in honor of the Pittsburgh golfer who won the USGA Public Links championships, 1927-1929. The winner and runner-up (and ties) will be exempt from qualifying for the 2007 West Penn Amateur, plus the Mid-Amateur (if age eligible) and Open, if qualifying is needed. These same golfers will also be invited to compete in the WPGA's Tournament of Champions next springs. Please inform the WPGA office right away if you must withdraw. |
