Wheatcroft advances to PGA Tour

Steve Wheatcroft

 Steve Wheatcroft, Washington, PA, finished 7th at the PGA Tour Qualifying School at PGA West in La Quinta, CA yesterday, December 4, 2006.  Wheatcroft, who won the 2004 West Penn Open at Westmoreland Country Club, had conditional status on the Nationwide Tour in 2006.  His six round scores were 73-75-71-65-67-67 - 418 (-14).

Justin Smith, Franklin, will have conditional status on the Nationwide Tour in 2007 after finishing at 11-over par.
