The USGA
Handicap Department will be conducting a seminar
in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at
Edgewood Country Club. This is a half-day
seminar that will end with lunch. Registration
fee for each attendee is $40.00, and
registration can be done by mail or online.
This is an
excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to
refresh knowledge of the USGA Handicap System™
or to gain perspective in its implementation at
the club level. Handicap Chairpersons are
encouraged to attend as well as any member of
the club interesting in handicapping. The
seminar is open to the public.
The WPGA will not
be conducting its own Handicap Certification
Program in 2007.
PGA Members will
receive continuing education points for
attending. Any attendee representing a club
using the USGA Handicap System™ will fulfill the
club's
Handicap Certification requirements after
successful completion of the handicap quiz.
