Bob Swinston, Longue Vue, WPGA
President in 1987, died on Friday, February 23. He was 82.
Swinston served on the Association's Executive Committee,
1976-1993, with distinction. He was active in many areas, most
notably championships and membership.
In 1991, Swinston led the
Association to reorganize its dues structure to a common per
member fee contrasted to billings done on a "small" vs. "large"
or "metro" vs. "outlying" clubs. This simplification was well
received and is used to this day.
