Punxsutawney's John Benson won the Pennsylvania Golf Association's inaugural R. Jay Sigel Senior Match Play Championship.  He defeated Frank Polizzi, Bryn Mawr, 3 & 2 in the finals at Gulph Mills CC in Philadelphia.  Sixteen seniors were invited, so Benson had to defeat four opponents to win his first state title.
