Scott Davis, Hurricane, WV, parred the first hole to beat Roy Vucinich, Moon, in a playoff to secure the one spot available for the USGA Senior Open Championship at the Tom’s Run Course, Chestnut Ridge Resort, on June 13. 

In Cleveland, Oakmont’s Bob Ford fired 70 at Wedgewood G&CC, Powell, Ohio, near Columbus, to grab one of two spots.

Both players are headed to the Championship at Whistling Straits GC, Kohler, Wisconsin, July 5-8.
