Bangor wins Boys Championship, Nettles wins 13 and Under Championship

Ian Bangor with the Boys Championship Trophy
Ian Bangor of Moon Township made birdie on the first playoff to win the 2007 WPGA Boys Championship at Rolling Hills Country Club in a three-way playoff over defending champion, Tyber Lustig of Belle Vernon and Robbie Denove of Pittsburgh. All three posted scores of 76 to force the hole-by-hole playoff. Finishing tied for fourth with 77 was Casey Courneen of Sewickley, Corey Martinez of Venetia, Ryan Prokay of Grove City, and Easton Renwick of Punxsutawney.  This is Bangor's first WPGA Championship.

With the victory, Bangor earned an exemption into the C.R. Miller Match Play Invitational conducted by WPGA at Edgewood Country Club on August 1 and August 2.
 

In the 13 and Under Division, Tommy Nettles of McMurray recorded a score of 80. Finishing second with a score of 84 was Matthew Zerishnek fo Coraopolis, follwed by Ben DuCarme of McMurray with an 88. Last year, Tommy's brother Chuck won the C.R. Miller Match Play Invitational.
