Whenever Washington, PA’s Steve Wheatcroft made a cut on the PGA Tour this year, the rookie had tough weekends. On Saturday/Sunday at Milwaukee’s Brown Deer GC, the Indiana University All Big-Ten standout steadied himself with 68-70. His tie for 17^th place was worth $54,000, his best showing in the Tour this season. Wheatcroft is 195^th on the PGA Tour money list with just over $103,000 in earnings.
