Hofmann wins Pennsylvania Amateur
August 3, 2007
Jeff Rivard, Executive Director (contact)
Adam Hofmann, locked in a duel with Nathan Smith, made a
regulation par on the 18th hole to Smith’s bogey,
winning the 94th Pennsylvania Amateur at
Longue Vue
Club. Hofman
recorded 66-70-72—208, while Smith carded 67-69-73—209.
Hofmann’s win was the first in the state
amateur for an area golfer since Smith won the 2002 edition at
Oakmont. Hofmann overcame a quadruple bogey
on the sixth hole and played solid golf the rest of the way to
win his first state title. For more details
