Adam Hofmann, locked in a duel with Nathan Smith, made a regulation par on the 18th hole to Smith’s bogey, winning the 94th Pennsylvania Amateur at Longue Vue Club.  Hofman recorded 66-70-72—208, while Smith carded 67-69-73—209.  Hofmann’s win was the first in the state amateur for an area golfer since Smith won the 2002 edition at Oakmont.  Hofmann overcame a quadruple bogey on the sixth hole and played solid golf the rest of the way to win his first state title.

Quiz—name the five golfers who have won the West Penn Amateur and the Pennsylvania Amateur in the same year.
