Area players shut out at US Amateur

Four area qualifiers for the USGA
Amateur Championship at The Olympic Club in San Francisco were
in the hunt to advance to match play, but came up short. The
playoff, seventeen players for six spots, came at 147, At 148
were Greensburg's Arnold Cutrell and Waynesburg's Robert Rohanna.
The other two qualifiers came in at 150, William Smith,
Newville, and Nathan Smith, Pittsburgh, the 2003 USGA
Mid-Amateur champion.
