Rocco Mediate, Greensburg, maintained playing privileges by finishing 81st on the 2007 money list with earnings of $1,166,294 in 22 events.  Mediate recorded one second place finish and two top tens.  He has five PGA Tour career wins.

Jon Mills, Indiana, will play on the PGA Tour in 2008, due to finishing fourth on the 2007 Nationwide Tour money list with nearly $370,000 in earnings and one victory.  Mills played the PGA Tour in 2006, lost his card, and has regained it.

Brendon Todd, Atlanta, who competed in Western Pennsylvania as a junior player, was medalist in the first stage of PGA Tour Qualifying School.  He advanced to the finals with 68-72-73-69—282, tying for the 18th and final spot at Lake Jovita G & CC, Dade City, Florida.  Todd will play for a PGA Tour or Nationwide Tour card, depending on his finish, in the six round final at Orange County National Golf Center, Winter Garden, FL, November 28-December 3.

Two area players competed in the second stage and failed to advance:  Steve Wheatcroft, Washington, PA, at Lake Jovita, and Justin Smith, Franklin, PA, at Hombre GC, Panama City, FL.
