Area junior golfers honored by
AJGA December 20, 2007 Terry L. Teasdale, Handicap Director (contact) Three local junior golfers have been honored by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) for their achievements during the 2007 golf season. Named Honorable Mention by AJGA were Sean Brannan, Hollidaysburg, and John Popeck, Washington. Brannan, who will attend Georgia Southern Universtiy next year, made the semi-finals of the USGA Junior Amateur Championship. Popeck will attend the University of Maryland next year and had a distinguished year in junior golf. He was also recognized by WPGA for outstanding achievement in junior golf during the 2008 golf season. Named to the Scholastic All-America Team was Benjamin Cohen, Pittsburgh.
