donations exceed $40K in 2007 January 08, 2008 Jeff Rivard, Executive Director (contact) The WPGA Scholarship Fund enjoyed a top notch year in donations as 2007’s support exceeded $36,500. Member Clubs gave nearly $14,000--South Hills, Chartiers, Pittsburgh Field Club, Montour Heights, Lake View (Erie), and Latrobe. Individual donations, much donated in memory of those who passed away, totaled over $10,000. Significant amounts were offered in memory of former WPGA presidents, Jack Brand, Oakmont, ’64 & ’74. and Richard Boughner, Youghiogheny, ’93-’94. More than 32 Scholarship Fund alumni gave nearly $7500, and members of the Association’s official family produced another $5000. These donations equaled the amount of scholarship funds expended, thus enabling the Scholarship Fund to keep its investment portfolio intact for all of 2007. |
