Penn State’s
three wins were obviously more important than finishing last in
the Big Ten as the NCAA assigned the Nittany Lions to the
Central Regional, to be played May 15-17 in Columbus, Ohio, at
the famed Ohio State University’s Scarlet Course. Expected to
play for PSU are seniors Robert Rohanna, Waynesburg, and Harvin
Groft, State College. The team is seeded #13.
Also on hand
at OSU is Marquette University, headed by Wexfords’ Mike
VanSickle. They are seeded #23.
The OSU field
is 27 teams, and the NCAA has three Regionals scheduled with the
teams from each moving to the finals at Purdue. |
