The Frank B. Fuhrer Team
representing the WPGA in the Williamson Cup Matches has been
selected. This year's team includes Derek Jones of Lower
Burrell, Ryan Prokay of Grove City, Easton Renwick of
Punxsutawney, and Christopher Resnik of Venetia. The team will
compete against 9 other Associations from the northeast and
Canada at The Country Club of Scranton in a thirty-six hole
competition on Monday, August 11.
Ryan Prokay won the
2008 WPGA Junior Championship at The Club at Shadow Lakes.
Easton Renwick won the
2008 C.R. Miller Match Play Invitational at Chestnut Ridge
Resort and the
2008 WPGA Boys Championship at Cranberry Highlands Golf
Course. Derek Jones was a finalist in the C.R. Miller and
returned a fifty-four hole score in the
West Penn Amateur at Bedford Springs Resort. Christopher was
a semi-finalist in the C.R. Miller and was co-medalist in the
PGA Junior Championship at Fox Run Golf Course.
