Mike Van Sickle successfully defended his Pennsylvania Open title, August 11-13, at Old York Road CC, in Springhouse, PA, near Philadelphia.  He edged Pittsburgh’s Nathan Smith, this year’s West Penn Amateur and Open champion, among others, by one stroke. Van Sickle joins a select group of golfers who have won the Pennsylvania Amateur and Open in the same year.
