Bobby MacWhinnie, Pittsburgh, shot 77-72-71-74—294, tying for fourth place, in the PGA Tour’s Pre-Qualifying at Kinderlou Forest GC, Valdosta, GA., September 23-26.  He moves into the first stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying later this month.

MacWhinnie was runner-up in this year’s West Penn Open at Butler CC, was a Local Qualifier in the US Open, and he has competed in numerous mini-tour tournaments this season.

An outstanding junior player, MacWhinnie won the 1997 WPGA Boys, and the WPGA Junior in 1999 and 2000.  He played collegiate golf at the University of Maryland.
