Jim Antkiewicz, Director of Golf at The Club at
Nevillewood, was named the PGA of America’s
Professional of the Year for 2008. A caddie as a
youngster at Ambridge Country Club, he has worked in
this area as an assistant at Allegheny under the
guidance of Roy Vucinich, head professional at
Highland, 1983-95, after which time he moved to
Nevillewood, where he has worked for the past
fourteen seasons. Antkiewicz has been heavily
involved in organizations both at the Section and
national levels.
Bob Collins, head professional at Oak Tree, West
Middlesex, received the President’s Plaque presented
for contributions in player development. He has
been deeply involved in programs such as Clubs for
Kids, the Tri-State PGA’s Kings Junior Series, and
the Play Golf America Golf Night League. He has
also been deeply involved in overall Tri-State
Section PGA activities.
The WPGA congratulates both of these fine golf
professionals.
