The WPGA Scholarship Committee has awarded two scholarships, about $3000 per school year in tuition. The recipients are Katelyn Kendle, who works on the course maintenance crew at Longue Vue with her father and brother. Kendle is completing her sophomore year at Penn State University.  Her brother Wesley, also at Penn State with a WPGA scholarship, graduates next month. Kyle Spaniol works at Allegheny on the wait staff. His grandfather, Joseph Stromei, also works at Allegheny.  Kyle is a sophomore majoring in Pharmacy at California University of Pennsylvania, and is a member of the track team.

The 2009-10 group of WPGA scholars remains at nine, as two Penn State University seniors, Wesley Kendle, Longue Vue, and Lance Catterall, Sewickley Heights, a golf shop employee and caddie.
