Jon Mills, Indiana, who has alternated between the
Nationwide and PGA Tours the last five years, and Steve
Wheatcroft, a Washington, PA, native, are both in need of
strong second halves on the Nationwide Tour.
Mills, who has twice graduated to the PGA Tour, 2005 & 2007,
after top ten money list finishes on the Nationwide Tour the
previous year, is 62nd this year with $42,555.
Wheatcroft, who made the PGA Tour in 2007, was low qualifier
in both the first and second stages of last Fall's PGA Tour
School before gaining Nationwide Tour status in the finals.
He is 110th on the list with $22,024.
Mills best finish is a
t-6 at the South Georgia Classic, Kinderlou Forest GC,
Valdosta, while Wheatcroft's best is a t-13 at the BMW
Charity Pro-Am, at the Thornblade Club, Greer, South
Carolina. For both players, half of their winnings were at
these sites.
