Easton Renwick joins Justin Smith as the only players to defend the C.R. Miller Match Play Invitational title with a victory over Darren Simons at South Hills Country Club. The match lasted 20 holes.

Renwick built a three-up lead through six holes but Simons slowly closed the gap on the final nine and won the eighteenth to force extra holes. Renwick advanced to the finals with a 2 and 1 victory over Zachary Bird while Simons defeated Corey Wagner 3 & 1.

This is Renwick’s fourth Association title. Along with the 2008 C.R. Miller title, he has won the 13 and Under Boys Championship in 2006 and the overall Boys Championship in 2008.

The tournament was started and conducted by Richie Miller in honor of his father until he turned it over to the Association to continue. It was held every year at Fox Chapel Golf Club where the family were members until 1994.
