Chick and Rob Wagner won the 1979 Brothers Championship, and
with their victory on August 7, have now won ten titles over
31 years. They are only surpassed by Sean Knapp's winning
thirteen Fred Brand Foursomes titles with three different
partners--Steve Fuhrer, Jeff Schroeder, and Nathan Smith.
Other multiple titles include Oakmont's William C. Fownes
with eight Amateurs, George and Jack Benson's eight
Brothers, J.W. Oliver's eight Father & Sons (three with his
father, five with his two sons); Sean Knapp's seven
Amateurs; Knapp's six Mid-amateurs, Eben Byers and Jack
Benson's six Amateurs; James B. & James W. Crookston's five
Father & Sons, George Gregg and Joe M. Wells five Senior
Amateurs, Jock Hutchinson, Perry DelVecchio, and Roy
Vucinich with five Opens; and Arnold Palmer with five
Amateurs.
