PNC Bank renews Open sponsorship

PNC Bank has renewed sponsorship of the PNC West Penn Open for 2011-1013.  The $5000 added keeps the area's oldest open championship purse among the largest local competitions. Upcoming sites are Nevillewood-2011, July 5-6, Fox
Chapel-2012, and the Mystic Rock Course at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort--2013. 

The championship is unique among local opens with four US Open winners and a
PGA/British Open champion among its winners--Jock Hutchinson, (five titles--1909-15), 1919 PGA and 1920 British Open champion; Sam Parks, (1940)--1935 US Open, Ed Furgol (1965)--1954 US Open, and Arnold Palmer (1957)--1960 US Open
