Three
college golfers from Western Pennsylvania won tournaments
last Fall. Each is under consideration for the Association's
Frank Fuhrer, III, Award given to the area's outstanding
collegiate golfer.
Ian Bangor, a freshman at Carnegie-Mellon, won the Peter
Rossin Memorial Invitational hosted by Washington and
Jefferson at Southpointe Golf Club and Rolling Hills
Country. Bangor also won the Guy W. Kuhn Invitational hosted
by Allegheny College at The Country Club of Meadville.
C.G. Mercatoris, a junior at Robert
Morris, won the RMU Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Airport Classic
at Montour Heights Country Club in Coraopolis. Mercatoris
also won the
Bucknell Men's Invitational at
Bucknell University Golf Course.
Brock Pompeani, a sophomore at Robert
Morris, won the
Fairleigh
Dickinson Knights Invitaitonal
held Upper Montclair Country Club
in New Jersey.
These players begin their spring schedules in March.
