Nationwide Tour player Jon Mills, Indiana, PA, qualified for
the US Open at the Woodmont CC, Sectional near Washington,
DC, on June 6. He shot 64-70--134 to share the qualifying
medal with veteran PGA Tour player Kirk Triplett,
Scottsdale, AZ.
Mills finished second to Washington, PA, native Steve
Wheatcroft in the Nationwide Tour event the day before at
nearby University of Maryland Golf Course, then sustained
his momentum with a quality performance. This is Mills
second US Open. The Championship will be played June
16-19
at Congressional CC, Bethesda, MD.
